Follow the season shift with a skincare shift!

With the change of seasons it’s best to adapt your skin care as well. In the winter, your skin will probably need some extra protection. Because of the wind, cold and dry air, your skin produces less oil than in the summer, causing it to dry out more quickly, resulting in fine lines and a tired and grey complexion.

Depending on your skin type, it may be a good idea to adjust your daily skincare with the shift of the seasons. Here are a few tips:


1. Adjust your day and night cream according to the season

Use a richer day and night cream to give your skin extra protection during the harsh winter months. Not sure which day and night cream best fits your skin? Do our skincare test and find out in no time!

 

2. Boost your skin with our nourishing serum

Before you apply your day and night cream, apply our repairing serum Kissed by a Rose to nourish the skin deeply. Thanks to it’s ultra-concentrated and expert blend of essential oil of rose, rosehip oil, sea buckthorn and apricot kernel oil, the serum helps to reduce fine lines, normalises irritated, red skin and brightens the complexion.

3. Hydrate hydrate hydrate!

Do you suffer from dry skin on your arms & legs, especially in winter?

  • Be sure to keep the humidity level in your house at the right level and avoid hot showers. We all look forward to a nice and warm shower when we're on our way home from a rainstorm, but hot water will make your skin dry out even more!
  • Use the Green Tea Therapy to rehydrate your skin after washing to prevent dry flaky skin.



4. Treat dry and chapped skin!

    The right shift in your skincare routine

     

    Cleansing

    We recommend that you always start your skincare routine by cleansing with our Recette de Pureté and/or our Rosée de Roses. They both provide a deep cleansing without disturbing the skin's moisture balance. They can be used in combination or separately.

    Normal skin

    If you have normal skin, then Belle d’amour is the day and night cream for you. This cream has a thicker texture, which provides extra protection. The formula contains extracts of precious mountain plants from the Himalayas such as edelweiss, a powerful antioxidant that protects the skin against external stress.

     

    Dry or sensitive skin

    If you have very dry or sensitive skin, Under my Skin is your friend. This cream repairs and nourishes the skin and contains the extract of sea buckthorn, a rich source of vitamins and omega-7, a precious essential fatty acid vital to collagen production and skin regeneration.

     

    Combination skin

    Do you have combination skin? During winter, your skin produces less fat, so you might want to shift to a richer cream. We would recommend Belle d'Amour as your skin's winter match

     

    Oily skin

    Do you have oily skin? Then your skin already produces enough fat, so a richer cream might not necessary in your case. Nevertheless, it’s important to keep your skin moisturised. You can do that with Daisy Delight, which is based on natural hyaluronic acid.
